Step One to Making Money: Avoid Blocking Your Financial Blessings

The first step in not blocking your financial blessings is that you have to become aware of what scripts in your head are blocking you and your money mindset. Three books hit home on the topic of money mindset: Think and Grow Rich: The Science of Getting Rich and The Abundance Code and for my female fans, Overcoming Underearning by Barbara Stanny. I read that book three times to get my money mindset on the right track.

Reflect and ask yourself questions about how you view money, such as “How am I talking about myself concerning money? Am I making myself feel guilty for wanting money?” When you are feeling guilty or have negative money talk, you’re telling the universe that you are OK with the money you are making right now, and you don’t want that to change.

This free guide details the 8 step process I used to build a network of referral partners that have sent me up to 300 leads in a day.

Next, start finding examples of people who are having positive conversations about money. Most people are taught to blame outside factors for all of their financial problems, which also blocks your financial blessings. When you start getting your money and the money mindset on track, you’ll learn about personal responsibility with money.

You Have the Power to Get Back on Track Financially

It’s all about realizing that all the power is in your hands. You can start today to get your financial life together, and you don’t have to wait for somebody else to tell you to start. Regardless of your past experiences and choices with money, you can start making different choices. Start making different choices to obtain your financial goals.

Change is hard. It’s easier to blame other people for why you’re broke or say that your family was broke, so I’m going to be broke. I mean, I guess we’re all just screwed, and that’s just the way that it is.

Step Two: Don’t Focus on Being Screwed Out of Money

When the economy is down, or your investment doesn’t work out the way you had planned, our brains immediately want to relish in how we were screwed out of our money. However, the only thing you’re doing is focusing on how screwed you are instead of finding an opportunity.

Step Three: Stop Lying to Yourself About Your Finances

What I mean is stop telling yourself you don’t need money, because we all need money. Do you want to know how I know that? A house costs money. A car costs money. Food costs money.

If you’re a business owner and you want to reach many people, guess what? That requires a lot of money. Do you want to have support in your life, in your company? That costs money.

The Problem With Your Lack of Money

If you’re not making enough money to survive, then you’re worried about your survival and the 24 inches around you. When this occurs, you can’t self-actualize or have the ability to come up with creative solutions to problems. You’ll be extremely focused on your lack of money. I understand this is a societal influence we have going on right now. Our society and culture has really done a number on us in terms of how people see money. The result is that we aren’t having positive conversations about money.,. Allow yourself to want money, give yourself that permission because it’s OK to want money.

Many people tell me, “I have these goals, I have these dreams, I want to travel, I want to help people, I want to build this business.” However, when the conversation gets financial, they shut down. When you shut down, you’re blocking the opportunity for money to come through. You won’t be able to accomplish your goals without embracing money. Stop feeling guilty for wanting money and thinking that you have to be perfect to make a decent amount of money. No one’s perfect, not you, not me, but we can all benefit from changing our mindset to thinking positively about money.

Start today by making one small change in your financial situation! Start your new money mindset right now.
