Welcome back to our enlightening ‘Men and Marketing’ segment where we delve into the intriguing parallels between dating, relationships, and the sales and marketing arena. Our discussions are proving to be as captivating as they are educational, and this time we’ve taken a deep dive into a topic that continually piques your curiosity.
Just recently, I shared an experience on Facebook and Instagram that sparked an influx of inquiries from the ladies. I was having a particularly stressful day, frustration creeping in, and my partner did something simple yet profound – he noticed. Recognizing my need for some time out, he promptly booked me a massage. And there it was, an act of understanding, initiative, and care that seemed to have the women in my circle asking, “How do you get your man to do that?”
Meanwhile, my co-host, Justin, tends to field similar inquiries from high-level men on LinkedIn. These ambitious men are seeking advice on how to navigate their relationships, and Justin provides them with the insight they crave.
The Dance of Polarity
In this episode, we explore these queries and their underlying themes. The dance between men and women in relationships is a fascinating one, and understanding the concept of ‘polarity’ – the natural dynamic between masculine and feminine energies – is key.
The Correlation with Energetic Selling
We further unearthed intriguing correlations between the dynamics of relationships and the world of sales and marketing. It’s striking how closely what men and women are taught about relating (and at times, manipulating) each other mirrors what many learn about the approach to sales and marketing.
This led us to the concept of ‘energetic selling’. This notion places emphasis on aligning your sales and marketing strategies with your inherent energy and the energy of your prospective clients. It’s about understanding and respecting the client’s needs, just as you would in a relationship. This is a far cry from the manipulation that is unfortunately often associated with sales and marketing.
The blend of dating, relationships, and marketing may seem unusual, but it’s remarkably harmonious. The principles that apply to one are often easily transferable to the other. Understanding this could give you an edge in both your personal and professional life.
I hope this episode helps shed light on these interesting parallels and leaves you with food for thought. Stay tuned for more insights as we continue to uncover the wonders of ‘Men and Marketing’!
